I know what doesn't jive in this auction, the pool pics...wasn't there a guy selling some really awesome looking brackets for something else not too long ago and he had pictures of them by his pool?
I don't think you'll get any argument on that AB.They are ceiling or wall mount brackets for mounting up high for PA use .. IMHO.
The underlying theme here is that something doesn't jive in this fella's auction, maybe.
It's hard to tell from the pic if the color is accurate for Heath, but the brackets do seem to match the horns in color, and it seems like it would be going to a LOT of trouble to source repro Heath decals.
After reviewing the pics closely, i believe these are NOS, and i believe the brackets belong with and have always been with those horns, the color matches perfectly, and they're in immaculate condition.
I can only conclude by a wild ass guess that Heath must have offered the 511A w/bracket as a PA speaker for at least a period of time. I knew they made a few mixer amplifiers, and column speakers, but was never really aware that they offered anything for distributed sound.

Nice catch OG ! Yup those are different then the other pics... The Heaths have no holes in the mounting flange either.. The brackets don't say heath on them anywhere Bowtie.. But also agree that these horns weren't sold in any cabinet due to the lack of mounting holes.. Could be Heath 511's and Altec Brackets.. My only point or argument was they (Brackets) didn't come IN any cabinet that I'm aware of. However if someone has something stating otherwise I will gladly edit my post to reflect the new info...
I would bet heavily that you're correct! My only point or argument was they (Brackets) didn't come IN any cabinet that I'm aware of.
I'd sure like to have a pair of those brackets tho. Mounted to the appropriate sled, i think they'd be an elegant way to dress A7-500's.
